Same Sex Wedding Sunshine Coast

Every wedding is special, every wedding has those goosebumps moments that make the day memorable. But there are some weddings that have that special sauce, the ones that hit your heart a little harder.

Ena & Tegan’s wedding was one of those weddings. Not only because it was my first same sex wedding on the Sunshine Coast, but because of the people who made that day be what it was.

I got to witness so many beautiful moments, starting with the love and care between two beautiful humans. When things didn’t go 100% according to plan Tegan’s first move was to protect Ena from any stress so she could have the perfect day.

The excitement and the way they looked at each other during the first look, with a room full of people it was like no one was there.

I got to witness the love between a father and a daughter when Ena’s dad surprised her wearing a rainbow pocket square proudly displayed on his chest.

I got to listen to the heartfelt words they exchanged in front of their loved ones, with promises to love and take care of each other no matter what, even if Ena loves the cats a little more than she should, haha.

It was brilliant to witness their families and friends genuine happiness congratulating the brides. Ena & Tegan’s squad is a strong one, they surely have their backs.

The speeches delivered during the reception were so sincere, it filled the room with this incredible energy of pure love.

In particular Sarah’s speech, Ena’s sister, when her emotions took the best of her when she said: “I will not admit anyone saying this is less than a marriage”. A goosebumps moment right there, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

A big thank you to Ena & Tegan for trusting me to document their day, thank you for your warm welcome and for treating me like I’m part of your squad. You definitely know how to make this girl feel at home, and for that, I’m ever so grateful.

I could go on and on, but I’m going to stop right here and let you into Ena & Tegan’s wedding, I only hope through these images I get to transport you to that epic day. Enjoy the journey!
