Sunshine Coast wedding Green Zebra – Ben and Natalye
Ben and Natalye’s Sunshine Coast wedding at Green Zebra Restaurant was a day like no other, a much lighter day. A day when they left their worries behind and celebrated with friends and family the love they have for each other. It was a day when Natalye showed again and again how strong she is.
Last year Natalie was diagnosed with cancer and ever since her life have been a constant battle, a fight for life. Against the odds she walked down the aisle, to everyones surprise. Ben couldn’t contain the joy of seeing Natalye walking. We all heard Ben saying over and over again “she’s walking, oh man I can’t believe she’s walking”. It was one of those goose bumps moments, we all lost it, not a dry eye in the house.
This is their love story in Natalye’s own words:
“I met Ben at the Buderim tavern 11 years ago and from there we became friends and then started hanging out then the rest is history. We were together for 4 years then we went our separate ways for a few years before we rekindled our love and have been together ever since. Once I got diagnosed with cancer I told Ben we we’re getting married because I realised I wanted to die his wife. Ben makes me laugh, he makes me happy when I’m sad, he’s supportive, has a similar out look on life and he takes me on adventures. The wedding was perfect, it was a beautiful day full of love and happiness. It was awesome having so many friends and family join us on our special day. I have learnt so much through this journey, not all good. But my faith in humanity has been renewed. I have met so many awesome people and the generosity of many has been overwhelming.”
Ben and Natalye, thank you so much for having me documenting your big day, it was a honour. I’ll always hold your special day in my heart. Keep smiling, keep fighting, we are all with you.
To the fantastic group of wedding suppliers who came together to make this day possible, thank you for donating your valuable time, expertise, resources and for all your hard work during an extremely busy time of year. I know for a fact that we all came out of Natalye and Ben’s wedding with a sense of fulfilment, a little richer as human beings. Thanks a million x
*Natalye sadly lost her battle against cancer on 25/6/16. My heart goes out to the ones you left behind, who were greatly touched by your kindness and will power. Rest in peace little warrior, much love for you.
